Client: Flamingo

Project Overview:

The company is a growing skincare brand focused on providing quality products, while promoting body-positivity and inclusivity.

The brand is already established, so substantial primary user research was existing and available, however, some notable friction in the onboarding process was identified, which required a brief user testing session to explore possible solutions.

Scope:

  • Add microcopy for a more seamless onboarding processĀ 
  • Improve microcopy for increased participation in email marketing opt-ins
  • Review additional pages / screens for additional improvement opportunities

Problem:

  • The prior iteration lacked details regarding password criteria, resulting in friction during the sign up flow
  • The microcopy for the opt-in was too long and somewhat off-putting

Solution:

  • Streamline the user experience during password creation
  • Encourage more email marketing opt-ins with shorter, friendlier and more fluid prompt phrasing

  • Conducted user testing, interviews and Q & A
